Group Bernaerts’ latest project is European Market City(EMC) (ww.europeanmarketcity.com.cn) a wholesalers center located in the De Wille business park in Willebroek, which is being developed jointly with the Flemish government. EMC is only accessible to professionals, and in addition to showrooms will also house offices, a temporary exhibition venue, and a wide range of services. Once development is complete, EMC will offer 200,000 (16,000 m² in the primary phase), which will be tailored to Chinese companies.
China Brand Center

Commercial Manager (m/f): job description
A substantial list of potential customers already exists and a number of them signed MOU’s. Now is the time to “close the deals”. These clients must be followed up with, before and after their visit to make further arrangements leading to contractual agreements. Commercial support in China is available and prospects are followed up locally, but always maintaining close contact with the Antwerp HQ.
Our commercial manager will receive potential Chinese clients in Antwerp, outline the ‘programme’ for them, convincing them to invest in the China Brand Center and secure the contracts.
Once the client established themselves in the China Brand Center, our commercial manager will be in contact with all partners of the “ Programme”, both through a helpdesk and via their personal contacts.
Profile
– Mature commercial manager with proven track record in China
– Thorough understanding of Chinese (business) culture
– An existing network of Chinese decision makers with interest in Europe is a strong asset
– Experience in finding and negotiating important commercial deals with Chinese decision makers
– A real “hunter” and “deal closer” on senior management level
– Team player, but also keen on working independently
– Highly flexible, energetic, creative and representative
– Goal-oriented and proactive
– Languages : Chinese (Mandarin) * + Dutch and/or English
*Group Bernaerts regularly receives Chinese delegations. A thorough knowledge of the Chinese language (Mandarin) and culture is therefore essential
